We’re excited to introduce the newest chapter in the Brave’s story—now built with Magnacut, a steel we’ve come to trust and really enjoy working with. It’s not just hype: Magnacut offers a rare combination of toughness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance, and it’s quickly become one of our favorites for real-world use.

The Brave has been with us for a long time, and for good reason. It’s one of the knives that helped put Smith & Sons on the map, and it’s been carried and used in just about every setting imaginable—from hunting camps and kitchens to overseas deployments and off-grid expeditions. It’s still compact enough for daily carry, but with enough blade to handle the tough stuff when you need it.

This version maintains the same overall dimensions as the original but features the updated handle profile we introduced a few years back—designed for improved ergonomics and a more comfortable, natural grip. It still retains the clean, minimalist look that made the Brave so popular in the first place.

Equally at home in bushcraft, food prep, and everyday use, the Brave continues to deliver performance far beyond its size.

-Kydex (Ships Separately): Streamlined and low-profile. The production version includes adjustable retention and a belt clip.
