RETURN POLICY
At Smith & Sons Knife Company, we work hard to ensure you are completely satisfied with your purchase! Every knife is made with care by our family of knifemakers, and we’re confident you’ll love what we craft for you. However, we understand that sometimes a product may not be exactly what you expected, and we’re here to help.
Return Process:
Before sending any knife back, please call us at 337-527-6468 or email us at sales@smithandsonsknives.com for a return authorization code. Returns without authorization will not be accepted. If you purchased through a dealer, please contact them directly regarding returns, as we cannot handle dealer returns.
Return Conditions:
Returns or exchanges are accepted on knives that are in unused, resalable condition and include all original packaging and accessories. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and there’s a $10 minimum charge for the cost of shipping the knife to you, unless you paid for the original shipping.
Exchanges:
If the knife isn’t quite the right fit, we’re happy to exchange it for another model of equal or greater value (with the difference paid). Just reach out, and we’ll help you find the right blade. Customer is responsible for shipping charges.
Returns/Store Credit:
If you need to return a knife, we offer store credit within 5 days of delivery. Please notify us within this time, and once we’ve authorized the return, you’ll have 5 more days to send the knife back to us. The knife must be in unused, resalable condition, with all original packaging and accessories included. If not, we reserve the right to reduce the amount of the credit. Shipping expenses are the responsibility of the customer and will be deducted from any credited amount.
At Smith & Sons Knife Company, we offer store credit instead of refunds to maintain the value of our handcrafted products and to protect against serial "tire-kickers" who place orders with the intention of returning them after brief use or comparison. This policy helps us continue offering top-quality knives to our genuine customers, without affecting 99% of our community who purchase with intent and appreciation.
Warranty & Repairs:
We stand by our knives. If your knife has a quality issue or a cosmetic defect that’s our fault, we’ll repair or replace it. Defects are incredibly rare, but we are human, so we take full responsibility when they happen.

Proof of Purchase:
A proof of purchase is required for all returns and warranty claims.
A quick note from our family: Every knife we make is handled with care and built to last. When a knife is returned, it’s not simply a matter of placing it back on the shelf. We need to inspect, clean, sharpen, and repackage it, often without being able to resell it as new. For this reason, we take returns seriously to maintain our high standards for all customers. SHIPPING
Shipping Timeline:
We ship all orders within 3 business days. For example, if you place an order on Wednesday, it will be shipped by the following Monday at the latest. There are a few rare exceptions to this rule, however, we will do our best to update you if any sort of shipping delay occurs.
International Shipping:
For international orders, please contact us for a shipping quote. International orders may be subject to customs and duty fees upon arrival in the destination country, which are not collected by us. We do not offer a guaranteed delivery timeline on international orders.
Wrong Address Disclaimer:
It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the proper shipping address is entered correctly before completing the purchase. In the event of an address error, please email us immediately at sales@smithandsonsknives.com with your full name, order number, and the updated shipping address. We will attempt to catch the order to make the adjustment. If we are unable to update changes prior to shipping, it is the buyer's responsibility to contact the shipper to request a re-reroute of the package. We do not offer refunds for orders with incorrect shipping addresses.
