Introducing a special Founder’s Series Scamp, featuring a hand-ground American-made Damascus blade paired with Copper Camo FatCarbon handles.

Our Founder’s Series represents a return to our custom knifemaking roots, giving our three founding knifemakers an opportunity to take their craftsmanship a step further, investing additional time and attention into each individual piece while exploring premium materials, unique finishes, and details that go beyond our regular production and Custom Shop offerings.

This Scamp was individually processed by one of our three founding knifemakers, beginning with a hand-ground blade crafted from 416-layer Damascus steel produced in the USA by Alabama Damascus. This Damascus is made from a combination of 5160, 15N20, and Ni200, folded and forge-welded to produce its distinctive layered pattern.

The handles feature Copper Camo FatCarbon, a premium carbon fiber composite with a distinctive camouflaged pattern and copper-colored accents throughout. Its layered construction creates depth and visual character, offering a striking contrast to the intricate patterns of the Damascus blade.

The result is a distinctive interpretation of our Scamp, combining traditional knifemaking techniques with modern composite materials and the individual craftsmanship at the heart of Smith & Sons Knife Co.

Only one Copper Camo FatCarbon Scamp was produced for this Founder’s Series release. The knife pictured is the exact knife you will receive.
