THE MUDBUG RETURNS

If you’ve been waiting for the Mudbug’s return, we wanted to give you a heads-up.

This project has been years in the making. Since the previous generation of the Mudbug, we’ve heard the same questions time and time again: Can you make it in Magnacut? Can you add a pocket clip? When is it coming back? The answers to those questions are yes, yes, and this week!

We’ve taken our time to get this next generation exactly where we wanted it before bringing it back.

Along the way, we’ve also made a significant change behind the scenes. The previous generation of Mudbugs was built and finished in-house by our knifemakers, with fitting, assembly, finishing, sharpening, and quality control performed here in the United States, while most components were manufactured in Europe. For this next generation, we’ve transitioned those components to U.S. manufacturing as well, giving us greater control over the process while bringing even more of the manufacturing and build process in-house.

For the past several weeks, the three of us have been working around the clock, building as fast as our hands will allow while maintaining the fit, finish, and attention to detail you’ve come to expect from Smith & Sons.

We wanted to let everyone know…

The wait is almost over!

This upcoming release will include not just one, but two versions:

• Classic – Traditional configuration with a lanyard hole. Starting at $250.
• Clip Version – Featuring a USA-made reversible titanium pocket clip. Starting at $289.95.

We’re planning to release these sometime during the week of July 12–18.

We’ll be updating this page with additional photos, specifications, and details regarding launch date and time as we get closer to release.
